The benefits.

With all the struggles a Lymie faces, there are some positives too, even though they don't outweigh the negatives.

Some of these for me have been:
  • The ability to swallow pills. I used to have a REALLY hard time with this, and it would take a whole glass of water to take an advil, and half the time I still wouldn't be able to get it down. Um, not anymore. Because of the ridiculous amount of things I've had to take, I've had lots of practice, and I can now take three large supplements at a time with a sip of water.
  • The strong amazing people I've met and am now following their journeys. The people in the Lyme community are absolutely amazing, and I'm so glad to have "met" them, BUT as amazing as they are, you don't ever want to have reason to meet them!
  • Informing others about Lyme and encouraging friends of ours with Lyme symptoms to see if they have it.
  • I can paint my nails lime green to show my support for fellow Lymies!
  • I can use the excuse 'I am suffering from chronic fatigue' to sleep in some more. hehe Actually that maybe isn't so much of an excuse.
  • All the things I've learned about myself, and continue to learn. And how this trial in my life has brought me closer to my Jesus. I have reached the point of total surrender a few times because I just can't do it by myself, but I always seem to managed to sneak myself back in and take some control back again. Still working on that!
