The first time I was tested, “nut allergy” was one of the things that came back. Now keep in mind, no one in my family or blood related extended family has any allergies. I thought this was just a fluke and something in my system, so I went on eating peanut butter, almonds, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as I pleased (ok, I don’t eat PB cups as I please).
Then I started realizing something. After eating peanut butter or anything with significant amounts of peanuts (even peanut butter cookies!) in it, I started getting a slight cough, headaches, and had trouble breathing, like my chest was too tight for my lungs to pump air. Obviously that’s not good, so I finally have gotten over my pride, and admitted to myself that I have a peanut allergy.
Weird thing is, I’m not not having problems with any other nuts, nor did I have problems with peanuts before I was sick/detoxing. I wonder if it will go away once I’m healthy?? I’ll just have to wait and see, I suppose, but it seems I’ll be waiting for a while.
